Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color Is Insta-Handy
A Product Review by Here We Are
You know by now that when I find something I really like, I like to share it with you! Well, I couldn't wait to share this product after my trial usage. The Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color is Insta-Handy!
It offers fast and fabulous nail color that dries very quickly... The company says 60 seconds, and this may be true in clinical trials but it's more like less-than-2-minutes for a fully dried result. That is still amazing considering that the color is a ONE coat - YES! - one coat is all you need to achieve the color you see in the bottle.
I tested the Insta-Dri nail polish two ways, by applying one coat to test it, and on other occasions by putting on two coats. The 2 coat application (to see if it was better than the company touted 1 coat claim) didn't make any real difference in density of coverage. In either type of application, the result was a true color match on the nail to the color in the bottle and it seemed to last as long. (If you are new to polish, most nail polish brands need at least 2 coats to match the color you see in the bottle.)
It does wear well! I tried it with a No-Chip Top Coat (a Revlon one that I already owned) AND without this added helper. It did last a few days longer with the no-chip topper, but in either case, I got a minimum of 5 great days of wear. Keep in mind that my product testing began in late winter and continued into spring; times when I was washing my hands a lot, then gardening, and spring cleaning. Not too shabby!
The two colors I tested were: In Nude-tral and Pink Blink. Loved both! TIP: If you are looking for a nude shade that does not yellow or change color, the In Nude-tral will serve you well. If you like nude shades you know how difficult it is to find one that stays the way you see it in the bottle. The pink was a delightful shade, too, and I used every bit of it!
Update on 10/3/18: I was at the store, and the selection was very picked over. The sale's person said that they can't keep these nail polishes in stock because they sell out over and over. I found a color among the few left that caught my eye, it is has a pinkish-pewter metallic finish and it's called Petal To The Metal. My new favorite!
If you are a regular Here We Are reader, you may remember my product review and recommendation Two Thumbs Up: Maybelline Express Finish 50 Second Nail Color. Since it was discontinued (although still available in limited colors), I've been looking for a comparable replacement that was just as good or better. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri wins hands down with flying colors (48 beautiful shades to choose from in fact)!
While you may like to get a professional manicure, sometimes a busy schedule or your location doesn't allow for it. Think about adding one of these colors to your beauty bag, you'll be so happy to have it handy on a busy day. Also, these make for great stocking stuffers, goodie bag additions, and gift toppers... Save money and buy a set to separate for gifts. Have fun picking your color(s)! ~ Luci
