Two Word Tuesday #15: Be Patient
Be patient! No matter what it is that is NOT happening in your life, just wait it out by being patient. Your personal timetable may not be lined up quite right with things beyond your control. Everything takes the time it takes, whether we like it or not.
Perhaps you are working hard to get a job promotion. Be patient. Maybe it's the gift of healing, your own or a loved ones. Be patient. Anxious to witness Karma coming to fruition for a deserving recipient. Be patient. This isn't easy, and if you have been waiting a long time for something important to resolve itself, then you've probably experienced pain, stress, disillusionment, and loss of hope which can all wreak havoc in your life. Waiting is the hardest part... Be patient.
Even though it feels like we are doing nothing, applying patience IS doing something. Patience is the manifestation of facing the unknown with trust, time, and strength. In your most difficult moments, remind yourself of the inviting English expression extolling the benefit of patience, "All good things come to those who wait." Overused - maybe - but true. In the end, Aristotle said it best, "Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet." Be patient!
