Wherever you are, and wherever you go, keep your Eyes Open. As we try to heal from the recent events in Paris, France, and the many other tragic incidents that plague our planet, it is time to be more aware of every thing and every one around you. While we are all saddened, I think you'll agree that we are also disgusted by the violent behavior continuing to occur in a world complicated by social complexities and misunderstandings.

In football they say, the best defense is a good offense, so if - like me - you are feeling helpless to change the big issues, then handle what is in front of you the best you can. Go about your business (as the political leaders tell us to do) but really keep your eyes open, your head up, put the phone away until later, listen, and look around. There are distractions all around us, so while this seems obvious, and we think we are being aware, a little extra effort can help.
