Eat A Frog For Productivity... Just Do It To Get It Done
If you are a regular Here We Are reader, then you know that I live what I write, mean what I say, and say what I mean. When I came across this hiTask 7 Day info graphic, the "eat a frog" suggestion caught my eye. Not that I'm a fan of snacking on green reptiles, but the odd image is effective when applied to work tasks we often avoid. I knew I had to share it with you because after a long look at my TO-DO list, a fresh approach is as welcome as springtime tulips. If I'm experiencing this, then I suspect many of the busy women who read and listen to HWA are also in need of a post-winter pick-me-up. 🌷
After examining the other 6 steps, I like that this entire plan is a simple, but easy way to meet goals, realign your approach to your workload, and shake out what isn't working. Work productivity, like all things, can ebb and flow depending on your energy level, attitude, amount of tasks, organization, and perhaps most importantly, prioritization (or lack of it).
The graphic below addresses all of these and more. I'm going to follow it and track my results. Won't you join me? Pick one, several, or all seven suggestions, but let's give it a whirl and see what happens; it can only help. Remember, sometimes you just have to do it - even when the thought is less than appetizing - to get things done.
Which day(s) speak to you? Let us know how it improves your work life/balance. Sharing is caring; let others learn from your experience, thank you. ~ Luci

@BettyB: TU for sharing!! So happy to hear this. I did the same thing again today. There is definitely something weirdly motivating about that "frog" image. BUT hey, if it works, it works! :)

Luci: Hi! I love this. I got up today and "ate a frog" by doing something I put off for weeks. It feels so good to be done with it. THANK YOU for this article and sharing the information, love the quotes, too.
