The time for giving gifts is here again. As the holidays quickly approach, many questions arise about presents, especially for teenagers. Every year, styles, colors, and interests change. What's IN one year might be OUT the next, making it hard to buy the teenager on your list the right gift.

Here are some last minute gift ideas, both specific and generic at varying prices. Depending on the relationship and the age of the teen, some of the ideas will work for friends to buy the teen, others are more appropriate bought by adults or relatives.

1. Check out the popular website and store, Urban Outfitters. They have an array of small gifts to mix and match for each individual. The prices range from $3 - $200, and include everything from candy, earphones, trendy accessories, to vintage cameras. These make great stocking stuffers, as well as grab bag presents! Cute and fun stuff for all ages, both male and female.

2. Hair Care items for teenage girls are always welcome. Many girls straighten their hair on a daily basis, or for special occasions, so hair straightening tools are a must have item. No matter what color, size, or design pattern you pick up, this is sure to be a hit.

3. A classic gift for boys and girls of all ages is the Nerf Gun. There are many different types of toy guns, some are massive and others are tiny. Depending upon the size, most Nerf Guns are relatively inexpensive toys that are always fun and will get a lot of use. Similar to the Nerf Gun is the fun, and edible, Marshmallow Shooter... Add a bag of marshmallows and you have a fantastic grab bag gift. It might sound sticky, but kids will have a good time all night shooting family and friends with this toy.

4. What teen doesn't want new clothes? This year, earth tones are big. Grays, browns, forest greens are everywhere; and purple is the surprise accent color. If you aren't sure where to look, I know a lot of teens who shop at Forever 21 because it's trendy, but not ridiculously expensive. Cardigans with a nice tank top or short sleeve graphic tee shirt paired with skinny jeans make a great outfit. Belts and dangling earrings are hot accessories this season; and a girl can never have too many of either in her wardrobe.

Also, boots are IN; from suede ankle boots to leather knee highs, it's not just about the UGG boot this year. Other popular shoe options are ballerina flats, moccasins, and Converse sneakers. And don't forget the tights, black is a safe choice because it works with everything!
