ANNOUNCEMENTS
What's Your Color?: Turquoise is the 2010 Color of the Year! And it is everywhere from clothes and accessories to wallpaper, paint, and housewares. This happy color looks good on everyone - mix it with hot pink, yellow, white, or black for a clean crisp look.
Not sure where to start? On a tight budget but want a treat? If you opt for jewelry, it doesn't have to be the traditional turquoise stone. Adding even just a dash of this hot, hot, hot color will instantly brighten your summer wardrobe.
Speaking of Summer: With so many books to chose from for summer reading, try one of the 20+ hits from Caridad Pineiro. Join me live as I interview this New York Times and USA Today Best-Selling Author on what is sure to be a revealing radio interview as we dish about her books, career, and how she does it all. Listen live on Sunday, May 16, at 12:30 pm EST for Caridad Pineiro: Awakening Sinful Fury Page By Page.
UPDATES
Gifts: The April "Call for Comments" is over. The winners of the two gifts will be announced in the June Announcement, Updates, & Reminders entry.
The gift giveaway for May is on but the gift is yet TBD. I will update you on the Here We Are page on Facebook. Not yet a FB "friend, fan, liker"? That sounds strange! Come on by and join us, soon I will surprise someone from the page with a gift.
Mothers Every Day: All women are mothers, biologically or otherwise, to someone somewhere at one time or another. While we take this day in May to celebrate our mothers, remember to also celebrate other women in your life who deserve a thank you.
REMINDERS
Spring Clean 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: In my recent radio interview, we discussed how Time Management Equals Self-Care, one way is to live clutter free. This approach allows you to know what you have, where it is, what you need, as well as what you don't.
Use these FREE & easy steps to spruce up and clear out the clutter:
- Stop feeling overwhelmed...it will all get done!
- Pick one thing ONLY from the list to de-clutter: your purse/work bag, garden bench, junk drawer, freezer/fridge, desk.
- Attack the one item that you selected and finish the job that day. Ahhh, that looks and feels so much better already!
- Go back to #2 on the list and select another item, then carry out #3. Repeat the steps. In one work week the list is finished and you've done quite a lot.
- Give yourself a reward...get a pedicure, start a new book, take a long nap, etc.
Gardening Tips: If you are thinking about your garden or about to plant, consider the birds and the bees. Both creatures love sunflowers; bees also like rosemary, thyme, and lavender. Butterflies love dill (NOTE: be sure to keep it separate from your other herbs).
The picture above is from my garden (photographed last weekend). The tulips and grape hyacinth grew from bulbs planted using the steps from Bulb Planting Tips and Tulips For Two. I wanted to share their beauty with you! Did you plant any bulbs? If so, send me a picture, I'd love to see them.
