April 2012: Spring Into Shape

Announcements, Updates, and Reminders

Diamonds on gold fabricANNOUNCEMENTS

Changing Shape: If you've been wondering if yoga might be a way to get in shape, feel relaxed, and have some "me" time, then this month's Here We Are talk show is for you! Join me on Thursday, April 26, at 1:00pm EST when Kim Ellner discusses Yoga For Fitness, Health, Focus, and More! We'll learn how yoga can improve the way you feel in and about your body, while helping you find focus. Kim, owner of Yoga West, will also explain many of the options this ancient practice offers everyone at all levels. If you are avoiding yoga, you are missing out on benefiting your mind, your body, and your spirit. Namaste!

Smooth Skin In The Game: This month, courtesy of La Ishá, Natural Skin Care, we have a fabulous giveaway. One lucky HWA reader will win La Ishá's Nutrient Rich Face Crème (a very generous $75- value). Watch for the upcoming article for details & the entry widget... It's fun & easy to participate!

Every Rose Has A Thorn: The final episode of Season 16's "The Bachelor" gave us an earful about the drama that ensued after the final rose was handed out. In the last installment of this recurring Chick Flick Chat series, AFTER The Final Rose, the discussion covers the issue of trust (which seems to be the thorn that pricked the final recipient), the producers' antics, the audience reaction, the missing rejected bachelorette, and more. ALSO: Stay tuned, CFC will be posting its new line-up soon.

UPDATES

New From Me to You: Recently, I discovered a new gadget called AudioPal, which offered me the chance to welcome new and returning readers. If you haven't heard my new message, please click and listen (it's at the top of the left-hand sidebar)... And thank you for being here!

Spring Back: In last month's HWA article, Recipes For Life, it seems the pantry might have been overflowing with too much ambition! While we delivered six articles to your in-box, other projects delayed a few promised goodies. In April, we are going back into the cupboard to dust off Shades of Chartreuse ~ Freshly Green Tips... Now that Spring has sprung, it's the perfect time to reintroduce this living greener HWA series. Also, I'll be sharing my favorite new (non-virtual) gadget - it's an oldie but a goodie - but oh so useful; and lots more from our newly reshaped, April editorial calendar! NOTE: At HWA, we follow the maxim "quality over quantity."

REMINDERS

Strip Away The Old You: Get rid of those chemicals that surround your skin from head to toe. Spring is a good time to replenish your beauty supplies, but make sure you are replacing them with chemical-free options. Don't know where to start? Check out What's Your Number? An Easy, First Step To Living Chemical Free for a simple approach in letting your skin be naturally naked!

Stone of the Month: The April gemstone is Diamond. We recognize this white or clear stone by its ability to refract and reflect light when faceted. Ancient Hindus called the diamond "Vajra" meaning lightening, due to its strength and light throwing quality. The gift of a diamond represents everlasting love. It also symbolizes innocence.
